Soooo TECHIES plz read this.

As many of you know I got this new PC.
Works all cool and everything at max 40degrees
Problem is: Sometimes it randomly freezes and have to restart it manually.
It usually happens when I open a avi/mkv with Media Player Classic.
Actually it ALWAYS freezes with MPC. So I run everything via VLC now and it ONCE crashed.
Games run okay. Played the whole of Singularity in one day (6-7hrs) and it ran smooth without problems and around 45 temp for CPU.
So I then uninstalled that MPC version and installed the latest. Same problem.

My specs in a nutshell are:
CPU: i7 930 (not OCed - 2.8Ghz)
Some corsair RAM: 2x2Gig DDR3 1600Mhz (XMS ?)
Corsair 850W PSU
GPU: 8800GT

Could most likely be a codec issue. Uninstall what you currently running and get CCCP :) runs everything.
If not that, then make sure all windows updates are done.

Above these two things...I do not know.

Boot ubuntu disk, open video which normally freezes/crashes. If it still happens, then it's hardware. If not, then you only have to figure out which codecs/graphics drivers are the problem.

It happend to me too when i had my p4 it has somthing to do with the operating system ram frequency
and GC frequency When streaming vids

I formated and it stoped. update your bios/chipset GC driver make sure your running everything in 64bit or 32 bit, you cant have a media player classic running in compat if the OS is 64bit Run the rite application for the rite OS.
Make sure u have win7 codecs not xp or vista

Oka seems like Problema Solva.
Unistalled MPC and run video over VLC and music over Winamp (WMP was getting (censored)).
No more freezings.
BUT - my keyboard often just gets stuck on "n". Not physically stuck. it goes away when i bash on the keyboard. probably an electrical "wrong-signal".
