All of these games can become rather boring if you play them on easy.
There’s nothing scary about a demon/zombie/clone dying from a single pistol shot.

LoL Clive Barkers Jericho was a joke. There was absolutely nothing scary about that game, but it's not a bad game.

AvP 2. If she's been conditioned to play and enjoy newer games with newer graphics, it'll be a shame that she'll never be able to enjoy this gem for what it is.

STALKER (the first one) also had a decent atmosphere, but you'll only really get scared if you turn around HURR DERP MUTANT.

Doom 3's scary was pathetic and forced. Before you walk past that dark corner, you check it for the obvious demons. But wait, I'm only going to spawn once you step one metre past there! Repeat for every dark corner. The intro was decent though, suddenly everyone is demons.

But yeah, there is only really AVP2 to rely on. Everything else doesn't quite match up :/

Try Scratches-

Taken from Wiki:

"The game tells the story of the Blackwood estate on the outskirts of Rothbury, a small rural town in Northumberland, England in 1976.
Originally owned by James T. Blackwood in 1963, the house is passed to Christopher Milton after Mr. Blackwood is accused of murdering his wife. A couple of days later, Mr. Blackwood dies of a sudden heart attack though some in the town rumor he might have committed suicide. The police decide to close the case seeing there is no further evidence left. Furthermore, shortly after acquiring the house, Christopher Milton inexplicably disappears in 1970 leaving no visible trace.
The player assumes the role of the house's next inhabitant, Michael Arthate, an author seeking seclusion to work on his next book. He moves in only to find that the house still echoes its horrible past quite literally as scratches are heard all around, particularly in the basement and fireplaces, and soon becomes more interested in researching the house's history than his writing."

FEAR 1 and 2 had its moments yeah. You get use to games like Dead Space and Doom 3. Silent Hill was creepy but I got use to it. The game that scared me the most was probly System Shock 2...it's old but the people who played it wouldn't disagree. You can try Metro 2033 if your PC can handle it, like FEAR it has its moments.

At the end of the day it depends from the persons personality...Some games you get things that suddenly appear (Doom 3, Dead Space), paranormal things that creep you the f*#$ out (FEAR), things that get under your skin (Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill), games where you feel all alone and nobody can help you (System Shock2 and Metro 2033 to an extent).
